A woman walks along a beach. Above her is text saying Most people with a disability survive on about $1000 per month.
When you hear the word disability, what comes to mind? I think strength and wisdom.

I spent over a decade as a broadcast journalist in Canada and another decade working in corporate communications with international colleagues in a range of industries. My background and life experience gave me an open-minded and inclusive perspective. Biases, misperceptions? Nope. Not me.

Until I took a closer look.

My view of disability was as wide as a pin hole. I didn’t really understand disability, until it happened to me and connected me to an incredible community.

Disability forces you to deal with uncertainty and limited resources. You need to stretch your thinking in order to get around barriers and find solutions. My new podcast More Talent Untapped shares the wisdom that can help us live and lead better, and cultivate diverse and inclusive communities.

I invite you to download and subscribe to #MoreTalentUntapped wherever you listen to your podcasts.
